     Leyendas del Mariachi— brings together musical icons from several of the most famous and distinguished mariachi of the past four decades to share stage. Exemplifying the beauty and traditions of Mexican music, this rare gathering of exceptional musicians is a true inspiration for generations old and new. Each Concert will include legendary members from Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, Mariachi Los Camperos, Mariachi Cobre,  Mariachi América de Jesús Rodríguez de Hijar, Mariachi 2000, Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlan.

WHAT DOES LEGEND MEAN?

A legend is a traditional narrative that combines real and fictional elements, passed down from generation to generation. It seeks to explain events, places, people, or phenomena in a symbolic and wondrous way.

Although it is often based on situations or people who actually existed, over time the story is enriched with fantastic or supernatural elements, reflecting the beliefs, values, and fears of a culture.

Legends recount events or people from the past, magnifying them or imbuing them with extraordinary qualities.

Legends have profound cultural significance, as they act as vehicles for preserving the collective memory and traditions of communities.

Through them, ancestral customs, values, and beliefs are transmitted, strengthening a people's identity. By telling stories about heroic figures, sacred places, or unexplained phenomena, they reinforce a sense of belonging, connecting people to their past and their surroundings.

Legends of Mariachi is a tribute to all the musicians of the past and present, preserving history from the beginnings of mariachi as a musical group. Legend says that since 1830 a group of European instruments and indigenous instruments in the regions of Jalisco, entertained weddings and parties of the towns, everything related to mariachi is LEGEND since its history has been transmitted orally in the 19th century, as in the 20th century. With this in mind, Leyendas del Mariachi pays tribute to all the musicians, teachers and people who have contributed to making mariachi music what it is today, a vehicle of culture recognized worldwide because in every corner of the world mariachi music is always heard.
